Title: "The von Hippel-Lindau Tumor Suppressor: Insights into Oxygen Sensing and Cancer"
Professor Kaelin is a 2016 recipient, together with Peter J. Ratcliffe and Gregg L. Semenza, of the 2016 Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research "For the discovery of the pathway by which cells from humans and most animals sense and adapt to changes in oxygen availability – a process essential for survival".
He also has won the 2016 ASCO Science of Oncology Award, and 2016 AACR Princess Takamatsu Award.
