On April 12th, The Faculty of Medicine gives the fourth seminar within the Excellence Seminar Series and we are very honoured to present Nobel Prize Laureate Dr. Mario R. Capecchi.
Mario R.Capecchi was awarded the Nobel Prize for medicine in 2007 along with Martin J. Evans and Oliver Smithies for their discoveries of "principles for introducing specific gene modifications in miceusing embryonic stem cells."
Dr. Capecchi will hold an seminar on the title:
"Gene Targeting into the 21st Century: Mouse Models of Human Disease from Cancer to Neuropsychiatric Disorders."
Dr. Cord Brakebusch, Copenhagen University, will introduce Dr. Capecchi.

The seminar is open to students and staff at Lund University and Region Skåne and others interested in Dr Capecchi´s research.
No registration, but seats are limited and availeble on a first-come basis.
