Display your findings in a more visually engaging and effective way

Improve your skills in visual presentation of your findings for manuscripts, grant submissions, posters, and presentations – dos and don´ts for figures and tables

Visual presentations of scientific data and concepts are critical components of scientific research and research outputs. In this half day course, focus is on how to improve scientific figures and tables by using parts of the graphic design tool box. We discuss visual communication from a practical view, with suggestions on color, typography, and contrasts; and how to avoid an overloaded figure that is difficult for others to engage in, or to understand.

This is a non-software course; we will not engage in any specific software. You won´t need to bring your own computer.

Aim: To help researchers to visually communicate their research results, and to give support in designing their own graphics in a more visually engaging way.

Target audience: Researchers at the faculty or researchers affiliated with the faculty, including Postdocs and PhD students.
