Blood, coagulation and immunology

We continue to build upon a successful tradition within the field of blood coagulation at Lund University.

This consists of both basic and clinical research, which could lead to new treatments, for diseases such as haemophilia. Another field covers clinical studies of various conditions depending on thrombosis (blood clots) and their prevention.

The body’s immune system does not only protect us against hostile bacteria and viruses. It has several functions and is of importance for a number of diseases. The immunological research at our department involves infectious diseases, rheumatoid diseases and cancer.
