Applying to the Medical programme


The Medical programme at Lund University is taught in Swedish. Consequently, you cannot be admitted to the programme unless you have studied Swedish and passed a language test. If you live abroad, please contact the Swedish Embassy in your country for more information concerning language courses and tests. If you live in Sweden, you can find more information on Komvux, Folkuniversitetet eller Medborgarskolan

  • Passed a Science programme in Upper Secondary School with following the subjects; Mathematics corresponding to three years studies, Biology, Chemistry and Physics corresponding to two years studies

The Medical programme begins twice a year. The application periods are March 15 to April 15 for the Autumn semester and September 15 to October 15 for the Spring semester.

Tuition fees

If you are a citizen from outside EU/EES you have to pay a tuition fee to study in Sweden. In addition there is an application fee to be paid when submitting the application. For more information see University Admissions.
