Prior to admission of a doctoral student, the PhD project, the financing, and the qualifications of the supervisor have to be reviewed and approved by the deputy head of department, and the vice dean with responsibility for the PhD programme. There are specific criteria that need to be met in order to proceed with the admission process.
Practically , the review, and the admission of a PhD student is a two-step process. The first step is to receive approval of the project, the financing and the qualifications of the supervisor. The Deputy Head of Department and the Vice Dean repsonsibel for PhD studies review and approve the proposal.
Step 1. In order to initiate the process of admission, a project is established in the PhD project database by the supervisor.
Step 2. After approval of the project, the admission process of the PhD student can be initiated. The process differs depending on wether it is a full-time or part-time PhD program.
