Election for the Electoral College 2021–2024. Time to nominate!


In the beginning of 2021, an election is to be held to appoint new representatives of teaching staff and other staff for the Electoral College, for the term of office 1 March 2021–29 February 2024. The members will be appointed by the university director following a proposal through election at the Faculty of Medicine.

The Electoral College fulfils the University Board’s obligation – in accordance with Lund University’s Rules of Procedure – to consult teaching staff, other staff and students in the process of appointing a new vice-chancellor and deputy vice-chancellor.

The Electoral College is to be composed of no more than 48 members, including 24 teaching staff with research or artistic expertise, and 12 members representing other staff. Students have the opportunity to appoint 12 members.

Through a decision taken on November 26th, 2020, the seats in the Electoral College to be allocated by the Faculty of Medicine through election are:

  • 4 teaching staff  with research or artistic expertise
  • 2 other staff

The election process will now commence with a nomination period.
