About the Faculty of Medicine
The Faculty of Medicine at Lund University consists of six departments in Lund and Malmö.
The faculty's Undergraduate Education Board has a financial and strategic responsibility for the undergraduate and graduate programmes.
Our research is conducted by research groups at the six departments. Most of our research groups form part of a network or research centre in order to ease collaboration and to take on bigger challenges that span across subject and organisational divides.
The faculty board is responsible for overall guidelines and decisions regarding the faculty's operations. The Dean is chair of the faculty board. The Dean and the Pro-Dean are elected by the faculty's employees with guidance from an election committee.
The Dean appoints the other members of the faculty management.
