Minerva Award Nomination

The Minerva Leadership Award

The Future Faculty award for academic leadership

Do you know an inspiring leader and/or good role model within the Faculty of Medicine?

Future Faculty aims to reclaim the pride in academic integrity and wants to honor the role models and leaders in the organization who strive to live by these values. We have therefore instated “the Minerva Leadership Award”. We need you to nominate inspiring leaders and/or good role models within the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University, for the annual award for academic leadership. We welcome nominees on any level: post-docs, PIs, teachers, administrative colleagues etc. We want you to nominate someone who you think is a good role model, who leads by example and raise the bar for academic integrity.

The winner will be announced in April-May 2019 and will receive a prize of 10000 SEK.

The nomination process for the 2018-2019 Minerva Award is open now, until January 16th 2019.

How to nominate? Fill in the nomination form (available here) and write a motivation for why you think this person should receive the Minerva Leadership Award. The nomination text is important, as the first decisions on the shortlist are based on those motivations.

There are no limits to the number of people you can nominate. We also welcome nominations for people who have been nominated in the past years but did not receive the award so feel free to re-nominate your candidate!

The nominee will be evaluated by Future Faculty’ steering committee and external reviewers. The shortlist for selecting a winner will be based on the written motivation(s) and the criteria for academic integrity:

  • Honesty
  • Trust
  • Fairness
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Courage
