SIMSAM Epidemiological Methods Advisory Board

The aim of the SIMSAM Epidemiological Methods Advisory Board is to increase the methodological quality of register- and biobank-based research in epidemiology. The advisory board will invite researchers affiliated with SIMSAM EarlyLife at Lund University to submit working papers or drafts for thorough methodological reviews and discussions in open seminars. These seminars will be scheduled regularly. The advisory board will also continuously monitor the need for additional seminars, workshops and courses on methodological issues, as well as the need for further methodological research. There will be a broad network of senior specialists in specific methodological or application areas affiliated to the advisory board. The specialists will review working papers and participate in the open seminars related to their own expertise.

Chairpersons

Jonas Björk, associate professor in epidemiological methods, R&D centre Skåne and Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Lund University

Juan Merlo, professor, Unit for social epidemiology, CRC, Lund University

The chairpersons lead the regular work of the advisory board, including chairing the open seminars. Please contact the chairpersons if you have any questions regarding this initiative, or have working papers with methodological issues that you want the advisory board to address.
