Patrik Brundin and Jia-Yi Li have received a 250 000 Swedish kronor grant (approximately 25 000 euro) from VINN-Verifiering, VINNOVA’s program for concept authentication, for business development within biotechnology for a new treatment for Parkinson’s disease.
The purpose of the project is to verify the possibilities to commercialize drug candidates for preventing the spreading of misfolded proteins in the brains of patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
In this venture the team from Lund closely collaborates with CSO Bioventia AB from Uppsala Science Park, who are responsible for the business development.
