Clinical Health Promotion

  • Establishing tools for documentation and evaluation of the outcome after treatment of patients addicted to alcohol and drug as well as tobacco.
  • Investigating the effectiveness on outcome, health related quality of life and everyday life, of adding intensive intervention programmes for smoking cessation, malnutrition, physical activity, patient education and co-morbidity  to the established treatment of patients addicted to alcohol and drug.
  • Evaluating the effect of intervention for drug-addicts recruited from the syringe exchange programme.
  • Developing effective strategies for implementation of alcohol, drug and tobacco intervention in somatic departments and primary care.
  • Following-up on children of alcohol and drug abusers and evaluate the effect of intervention on short and long-term.
  • Generating knowledge about the patients’ experiences and preferences in relation to clinical health promotion.
