Laboratory for Experimental Brain Research
Stroke research is conducted at the Laboratory for Experimental Brain Research at Lund University. The research is translational and aims at identifying mechanisms of cell death and processes of functional recovery after brain injury. We employ advanced technologies in cell, tissue culture and animal models and clinical studies in our effort to understand stroke and to develop new therapies.

LabExpBr receives two grants from the Swedish Research Council

Professor Tadeusz Wieloch and Dr. Karsten Ruscher received grants from the Swedish Research Council for their research on the mechanisms of recovery after stroke.
-We are particularly happy that Karsten Ruscher received the grant from the Research Council for the first time, a certificate of the high quality of his research, says Professor Wieloch.
