Resident Permit

Students from EU/EEA Countries

If you come from an EU/EEA country you do not need a residence permit. But if you will be studying for more than three months you must register with the Swedish migration board and that must be done no later than three month after your arrival.

Students from countries outside of the EU/EEA

If you are staying in Sweden for more than 3 months you must have a residence permit. The permission to stay in Sweden is limited during your study period.
