Physiotherapy

Undergraduate level courses:

The following courses are offered in English at the undergraduate level. We also welcome students who wish to pursue their thesis research, both at the Bachelors and Masters levels, at the department. Clinical placements can only be offered in a limited capacity.

SJGA43 Scientific Research Method, 7.5 ECTS
This web-based course is offered in the fourth semester of the undergraduate program in Physiotherapy. 


SJGA64 Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of Individuals with Sports Injuries, 7.5 ECTS
This course is offered in the sixth and final semester of the undergraduate program in Physiotherapy.

Graduate level courses (Masters):

The following courses are offered in English at the graduate level. Some require a completed Bachelors Degree while others require that you will be in your last semester of your Bachelors Degree during your exchange period in Lund.

IDRN01 Competences in sport - sport psychology, 7.5 ECTS
IDRN02 Competences in sport - sports medicine, 7.5 ECTS
Courses are part of the first semester of the Masters program in Sport Sciences and are only available during the Fall semester. These courses are given simultaneously and as such, students cannot apply to both courses.


IDRN03 Mental aspects of sport and physical performance, 7.5 ECTS
This course is part of the first semester of the Masters program in Sport Sciences and is only available during the Fall semester.


IDRN04 Leadership and communication 7.5 ECTS
This course is part of the first semester of the Masters program in Sport Sciences and is only available during the Fall semester.


IDRN05 Medical and Technical Aspects of Sport and Physical Performance, 7.5 ECTS
This course is part of the first semester of the Masters program in Sport Sciences and is only available during the Fall semester.


IDRN06 Prevention and Treatment of Sports Injuries, 15 ECTS
This course is part of the second semester of the Masters program in Sport Sciences and is only available during the Spring semester.


IDRN08 Human Nutrition, 7.5 ECTS
This course is part of the second semester of the Masters program in Sport Sciences and is only available during the Spring semester.


Work Environment and Health: Man, Technology and Work Environments 7.5 ECTS
To be eligible for the course, students must have a qualification corresponding to a Bachelor’s Degree (180 credits including a degree project worth 15 credits) in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing or Radiology Nursing, or the corresponding qualification in Medical Science.


Aging, Occupation and Health Promotion 7.5 ECTS
To be eligible for the course, applicants must have a Bachelor of Science Degree (180 higher education credits including an independent project comprising 15 credits) in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy, or the equivalent in Medical Science.

To meet the special eligibility requirements, applicants must have completed courses corresponding to 90 higher education credits in their main field or been admitted to the Nordic Master of Science programme in Gerontology.


Scientific Research Design 7.5 ECTS
To be eligible for the course requires a degree from the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Nursing programmes, equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (180 credits with 15 credits of project work), or the same level of qualification in Medical Science.


Movement Science 7.5 ECTS
To be eligible for the course requires a degree from the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Nursing programmes, equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (180 credits with 15 credits of project work), or the same level of qualification in Medical Science.
