Civic registration number

All persons registered in Sweden must obtain a civic registration number as identification. After receiving residence permit valid for at least one year, your need to register as a resident at the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). When doing so, you will receive a civic registration number (personnummer) and become eligible for Swedish healthcare benefits.
