Residence permit (required by Immigration office “Migrationsverket” if visiting researcher stays longer than 3 months; prepared by visiting researcher; requires Hosting agreement for non-EU citizens; you must apply for a residence permit from your native country or other country outside Sweden where you are living; your permit must be valid and be included in your passport before you travel Sweden).

Civic registration number “personnummer” (obtained from Taxation office “Skatteverket”; host supervisor provides Letter of invitation; if Residence permit valid for one year or longer, next step is to register as a Swedish resident for health care benefits)
