Strategic Research Areas

Lund University is responsible for nine of the Swedish Government's so-called strategic research areas over a five year period, 2009-2012. 

Five of these areas are coordinated by researchers at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University; Epidemiology, Diabetes, Neuroscience, Stem cells and regenerative medicine and Cancer.

Researchers from the faculty are also involved in the strategic research area The Nanometer Structure Consortium, which is coordinated by Lund University (Faculty of Engineering, LTH).
