Future Faculty exists in order to improve the conditions for young, or future, researchers at the Faculty of Medicine.
Future Faculty was launched in Fall 2003 by the participants in the LeKA program and is a forum for researchers with a doctoral degree and with a research program at the Faculty of Medicine, but who have not yet obtained a permanent /tenured position at the Faculty.
The programme offer activities, information and services for continuous career development of the target groups. Future Faculty is open to clinical as well as preclinical researchers.
Future Faculty is financed by the medical faculty and the money is used according to the member's whishes after decisions made by the steering group. Approximately half of the money is spent on financing two project administrators working 25% to organise information meetings, courses and other activities which the steering board decide upon.
Ideas and issues to be discussed are always welcome from the members!
Become a member! Young researchers exist in several different appointment categories. Therefore, it is difficult to locate everyone that may consider Future Faculty. To become a member, you register yourself without any cost or obligation. The purpose is to reach the younger researchers at the Faculty with information through the homepage and mailing-lists.
