Occupational and Environmental Health

Elective course offered during autumn 2012

The course provides an overview of the field of environmental and occupational health seen from a global perspective. The course highlights the disease burden attributable to exposures from environmental and occupational settings and provides a deeper knowledge of selected chemical substances of particular importance to public health. The course covers basic principles of risk assessment, risk management and risk communication, and introduces issues in work organization, with focus on precarious and unsafe work.
