The Bundy Academy prizes were awarded

Yesterday was the fourth time the Bundy Academy prizes were awarded to young medical scholars.

The siblings Eva and Göran Bundy have established a foundation to support medical research at Lund University, specifically in the areas of neurology and cardiology. This year’s prize recipients are Sara Hall, neurology, and Robert Jablonowski, cardiology, who have each been awarded SEK 400 000.

Sara Hall tries to find new ways to enable earlier detection of Parkinson’s, and to gain more information about the prognosis of the disease, by measuring biomarkers in the blood and spinal fluid.

Robert Jablonowski studies the function and structure of the heart in patients with diabetes using MRI.

Facts about the Eva and Göran Bundy Foundation to support medical research at Lund University
The siblings Eva and Göran Bundy have established a foundation to support medical research at Lund University, specifically in the areas of neurology and cardiology. So far, SEK 10 million have been donated and another approx. SEK 50 million have been bequeathed to the foundation which makes it one of the largest private donations made to the University in modern times.
