Loans and library cards
You need a library card for Lund University Libraries to borrow books at the Medical Faculty Library. Use the link below to apply for a library card. After you've sent your application, please visit one of the library information desks to receive the library card.
When applying for a library card, borrowers commit to the regulations of Lund University Libraries.
In the Lovisa library catalogue you can search for books and request books, from other libraries in the university library network, and choose pickup location. You can also return books at any of the university libraries.
The loan period is two weeks for basic course literature and six months for other books in our collections. Fines for delayed books are 10 SEK per book and day.
Renew your loans
If there are no reservations for the books you have borrowed, you can renew ten times. You can check your loans, reservations etc. by logging in to the library catalogue Lovisa with your Patron ID and Social Security Number.
Can´t find the book in the Library Catalogue?
Books not available at Lund University Libraries, can be ordered by our inter-library loan service. The Medical faculty Library offers document delivery service for books and articles. You find more information and order forms, on the left hand navigation.
