Entrez life science databases workshop

The Entrez system at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) contains a large number of molecular and genetic databases and tools which can provide considerable information for bioscience researchers. The workshop intends to improve your familiarity with some of these databases and tools.

Aim
The aim of the workshop is to explore the integrated features of the Entrez system with emphasis on the retrieval of molecular and genetic information.

Intended learning outcomes
After the session, you should:

• have improved your ability to navigate within Entrez
• better understand how Entrez works
• be more aware of the databases and tools available in Entrez
• have improved your ability to search the Entrez databases
• hopefully be interested to learn more
