We study interactions between respiratory pathogens and the human host. Focus is on IgD-binding proteins (superantigens) that interact with B lymphocytes.

The longterm goals are to develop new vaccines and better adjuvants for immunization against bacteria and cancer. Our research will also increase the knowledge on how bacteria cause disease.
