LabExpBr publishes new data on brain damage and inflammation

In mouse hippocampal slices subjected to oxygen and glucosse deprivation we have demonstrated that the subsequent damage can be attenuated with beta-1 adrenoceptor agonists.

- This is in line with the dramatic noradrenergic surge during birth that appears to provide protection to the newborn. Also, our results have clear implications for the treatment of newborns exposed to transient hypoxia at birth, says Tina Markus and David Ley.
