A new LabExpBr paper has been published in Journal of Neuroscience Research 2010 Oct 1 entitled "Deletion of the p53 tumor suppressor gene improves neuromotor function but does not attenuate regional neuronal cell loss following experimental brain trauma in mice" by Tomasevic et al.
In summary, the paper points out the important role of p53 in recovery after traumatic brain injury independent from its role as a mediator of neuronal death.
