The Öresund Cardiovascular Research Collaboration was initiated in 2010 by Göran Rådegran to facilitate and promote research collaborations in the Öresund region, between Skåne University hospital and Lund University with CMRC, Rigshospitalet and Copenhagen University. Interdisciplinary research are planned to be performed in a translational manner from animals, to healthy humans and patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary disorders. The research is focused on the control of vascular tone in the pulmonary circulation, skeletal and cardiac muscle, during rest and exercise, in normoxia and hypoxia, in health and disease.
