Randomized, Controlled Study of the Use of Central Venous Catheter Core Cooling combined with cold saline as an Adjunct to Percutaneous Coronary Intervention For the Treatment of Acute Myocardial Infarction
To demonstrate a reduction in infarct size/Myocardium at risk in patients with STEMI who are cooled with 1-2 liters of cold saline and central venous catheter cooling prior to PCI.
Patients undergoing primary PCI for the treatment of acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction with ST-elevation of >0,2 mV in two adjacent leads at arrival to PCI-lab within 6 hours of symptom onset.
