Values and goals
We strive towards longstanding development arising from the basic values of Lund University:
- a democratic philosophy,
- critical thinking,
- academic integrity,
- ethnic and social diversity,
- anti-discrimination,
- humanism and
- a creative academic setting.
Our goals are:
- To be a learning organization offering research and education at a high standard of quality on both a national and international level.
- To achieve multi-disciplinary research in the field of health care and social service.
- For the resources of all collaborators to be utilized, respected and developed. In this way the formal competence among colleagues can gradually increase and the number of researchers continue to rise.
- Exchange of knowledge between professionals, various health care services and the public.
- To enlarge collaboration within the education programmes in the Faculty, health care services and society.
- To also broaden collaboration with research groups at Lund University and other universities, both nationally and internationally. Perpetual development within the Department, the Faculty, Lund University and society at large.
