The Division of Immunology consists of several independent research groups focused on various aspects of immune regulation. The division was started in 1991 from one research group and has since grown by including new groups.
The vision for the division is to pursue projects that address central questions of immune regulation and that can be applied to human disease. The disease areas that are of particular interest for the division are autoimmune/inflammatory diseases and cancer. The division aims to integrate in vivo animal models with state of the art in vitro analysis to understand the patogenesis and facilitate new treatment approaches.
