From November 2010, parts of BMC will be altered. The parts primarily concerned are: I-huset, the reception and Olles Fik and surrounding areas.
NEWS: START OF THE REBUILDING PROJECT!
I-huset, levels 10 and 11, and F-huset, level 11: An entirely new student centre is planned here. It will house a reception, group study rooms, study rooms, a lunch room, library and morphology teaching rooms, as well as the students’ union office. The Faculty’s International Office will move to the current student break room in ‘långa gången’.
I-huset, levels 12 and 13: These floors will become meeting rooms and administrative offices for those who do not require access to wet laboratories.
H-huset: Olles Fik will be altered and extended so that it has a screened off restaurant section on level 10 and a café section on level 11. The restaurant will be more open to the back courtyard and a more integrated indoor and outdoor environment will be created. New seminar rooms will be built alongside.
Inner courtyard: BMC’s inner courtyard will be renovated around I-huset and H-huset to make it more inviting to students and researchers at BMC, as well as other visitors.
BMC will soon be celebrating its 10th anniversary and it is time to meet a range of new needs that have emerged.
