Programme Students

The Medical Faculty at Lund University is responsible for the educational programs in Biomedicine. The education is harmonized according to the Bologna process and is divided into two parts: First cycle courses (Basic level) and Second Cycle courses (Advanced level). The courses on the basic level are part the Bachelor program in Biomedicine, and the Advanced courses are part of the Master programs.

Bachelor Programme

The Programme enroll 40 new students per year. The academic year starts in late August or early September. The 2 first years of studies are given in Swedish only, and students must therefore be proficient in Swedish. It is possible for non-Swedish-speaking students to be enrolled at later stages of the education. It is also possible for exchange students to apply for individual courses given during year 3.

Master Programmes

Two Master programmes enroll 24 new students per year (2011 only in Experimental Medicine). The academic year starts in late August or early September. To be enrolled in the program, students must apply no later than April 15. The programme is given in English.
