The education in Biomedicine

at Lund University is given by the Medical Faculty together with the Science Faculty. The aim is to create professionals with future leading position in biomedical research and development. The education has a clear focus on human biology and basic science and how this knowledge can be transferred into a medical and clinical setting. The courses are instructed by researchers in the field of the studies, and are combined with lectures, problem based teaching, laboratory practice and research projects. The studies are given at a high tempo, the intensity of the research process is focused, and the literature is internationally renowned text books and current scientific papers relevant to the studies. The future profession is focused throughout the education through integrated training in professional aptitude and development.
